Volunteer Opportunities

Serve on a Board of Directors committee.
Help with awareness and fund-raising events such as our Annual Walk-a-Thon in June.
Sponsor a mini-fundraiser through your community group or as a service project to benefit our Victims’ Fund.
Help spread the word about our services or distribute brochures on our behalf.
Participate in and promote our fundraisers.

Board Committees

The Administration Committee reviews the bylaws, human resource issues presented by the Executive Director, spending in the HR area, and monitors the effectiveness of our policies and procedures. This committee is currently chaired by Jim Young.

The Board Development Committee is responsible for the recruitment and orientation of new board members, as well as the enhancement of existing board members. The Board Development Committee is also charged with the evaluation of the entire Board relative to the mission of the agency and the governing guidelines of the Board, as well as the evaluation of individual board members.This committee is currently chaired by Cathy Yost.

The Finance Committee is charged with overseeing the financial management of the organization. This committee is currently chaired by Neil Broten.

The Fund Development Committee is charged with developing and implementing a fund development plan for the agency. Implementation can and should include all Board members not only those serving on the committee.
The Programs & Evaluation Committee is charged with reviewing existing programs and ensuring grant specifications are adhered to and goals are met. They are also responsible for advising on new and potential programs for the agency. This committee is currently chaired by Karen Hess.
