Government and School System Cook-Off Benefits STTAR

Monday, April 14^th …

County Executive Ken Ulman and County School Superintendent Sydney Cousin will have a crab-cake cook-off on Making the Connection with Brenda VonRautenkranz.  The event will be held at the Fretz Corporation studio kitchen at 9204 Berger Road in Columbia.  Proceeds from the show to go to STTAR Center.  Join us as we watch our county executive and county superintendent battle it out in the kitchen to see who reigns as crab-cake king.  The sparring will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a short reception to get the contenders loosened up before the battle.  The actual cooking will begin at 6:30 p.m..  Celebrity judges are Mary Ann Scully, Howard Bank; Earl Armiger, Armiger Management Corporation; and Vic Broccolini, Howard County General Hospital. 

Guests will be able to test the masterpieces of both chefs or to be on the safe side, indulge in crab-cakes from Ellicott City’s own Crab Shanty Restaurant.
