Join STTAR Center in April!!
April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month and STTAR has several events planned to help bring awareness to these two issues.
Saturday, April 12th - Family Fun and Fitness Day
STTAR Center and Colosseum Gym in Columbia will be co-hosting Family Fun and Fitness Day…celebrating Howard County’s children.
Family Fun and Fitness Day will be held in the parking lot of Colosseum Gym at 9159 Red Branch Road…map in Columbia.
The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. and go until 4:00 p.m.
Soccer pro,
will be providing a mini-soccer camp for kids; there will be a fun walk through Red Branch Office Park; and many other games and attractions.
Featured will be the many agencies in Howard County that service children.
We will also have free visual and audio screenings for kids.

Tuesday, April 22nd - Stop the Violence Rally…
Join STTAR Center and others that work to end sexual violence at a Rally commemorating national Stop the Violence/Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
The rally beginning at 4:00 p.m. will be held in downtown Columbia on the waterfront.
There will be music, speakers, and lots of information on how you can help Stop the Violence of sexual assault in your community.

Saturday, June 14th - STTAR Center’s Fifth Annual Walk-a-Thon…
STTAR Center will be hosting its Fifth Annual Walk-a-Thon on Saturday, June 14th at Lake Elkhorn.
The walk will begin at 8:30 with a pre-walk stretch.
Prizes will be given to youngest walker, most senior walker, most times around Lake Elkhorn, and nicest pet with walker.
Pre-registration can be done at www.active.com or by calling STTAR at 410-290-6432 with your credit card information.
Registration fee is $25 before May 31st and $30 June 1st to event day.
