STTAR Center applies for Maryland Association of Non-Profit Organizations Certification
Maryland Association of Non-Profit Organizations provides a accountability and ethics certification entitled,Standards for Excellencewhich STTAR will be applying for in April. The Standards for Excellence® program offers a variety of services to assist nonprofits with implementing the Standards in order to improve their governance and management. As part of the Standards certification program, applicant organizations voluntarily submit to a rigorous review of all aspects of their operations. Organizations that pass this review earn the Seal of Excellence. STTAR Center has spent the past few months ensuring that all aspects of the organization are in line with the requirements of the Standards. We hope to be certified by the Summer of 2010.
