STTAR Center Joins Montgomery County Family Justice Center
In April 2009 the Montgomery County Executive, Isiah Leggett announced the grand opening of the Montgomery County Family Justic Center in Rockville. In March 2009 STTAR Center was invited to join the Family Justice Center as a community partner to assist in their counseling efforts. Because of STTAR's extensive experience in the area of complex trauma it was a perfect fit for the two organizations. STTAR Center currently has one staff person, an LCPC providing triage of clients, crisis intervention, and long-term therapy for those who are deemed to need it and want it.

Now no matter where in Maryland you are, you can reach the STTAR Center offices toll free. STTAR Center's toll free number is 877-490-6432. This number connects the caller to the STTAR Center main office. The number can be used to reach office personnel or to request treatment by dialing extension 115.
STTAR Center adds 7 new board members...
STTAR Center is excited to announce that there have been six board members added to our board over the past two months. Coming on board at STTAR are Renee Madden, Carney Kelehan Bresler Bennett and Scherr; Krista McKee, former private school administrator; Wande Osoba, River Hill High School; Linda Paterni, Howard Bank; Debbie Nagle, Keller Williams Select Realty; Amanda O'Quinn, HR Professional, and John Welch, Respira Medical. With the onslaught of the new board members comes a host of talent and experience. STTAR has many exciting things taking place in the next year and we are so happy to have a strong and very talented board to take us through these times.
Denim Day Kit Materials
The purpose of Denim Day is two-fold: first and foremost, to increase awareness of the services STTAR Center provides to trauma victims, and second, to raise funds to support our crisis and counseling services for sexual assault victims. Click here to read more.
